Biketoberfest
Time to Get Outdoors - Biketoberfest at Catalyst Gallery
Biketoberfest is a Sustain Charlotte’s signature event -- and my drawings are part of it.
Join me at Catalyst Gallery, 255 W Martin Luther King Jr Blvd., on Sunday October 11th from noon to 4:30 PM. This one-of-a-kind community adventure enables you to explore Charlotte’s diverse neighborhoods, visit local businesses, and discover the people, places, and experiences that make our city special.
How does it work? Sustain Charlotte creates a route through Uptown and multiple surrounding neighborhoods, featuring stops at local artists, landmarks, parks, greenways, and other destinations.
Explore in your own way while biking, walking, scootering, or using public transit (maybe even combining a few!).
The adventure ends in an after-party at Triple C Brewing (Our favorite) featuring live music, local vendors, food and drinks for purchase, and Triple C’s limited-release Biketoberfest Beer. And most importantly there are raffle drawings for a chance to spend an afternoon in the studio with me and Maura!

Climate Conversations in New York!
The Climate Conversations: the Language of Trees will travel to the Quick Center for the Arts at Saint Bonaventure College in 2025. Wil’s drawings as well as the memory Tree Installation will be part of the exhibit. visit the college website for more information: Quick Center Exhibitions | St. Bonaventure University (sbu.edu)
Bosbyshell’s lifelong fascination with trees has inspired his ongoing documentation around the environment, to both honor and protect it, while studying trees as a way to understand the natural world. By centering on the interaction between the texture of the bark, the natural design of the limbs and the depiction of scars left by time and weather,
he invites us to develop a more personal relationship with trees—leading to greater understanding of their importance in the ecosystem and the spiritual place they hold in the world.
